A very satisfactory saturday-------------

Saturday was spent at a Workshop at Greenwater Farm where the class was 3D Flowers-----the picture to the left is my finished piece. As usual our patient teachers, Janice and Andrea were a great source of inspiration.
It was a glorious day and the drive there and back was lovely through the Renfrewshire countryside with new spring lambs gamboling about, late daffodils dancing at the road side and curlews piping on the moor----life is good!

I have two blocks of my Baltimore Bliss complete and will post photos of these at a later date.

If it's the beginning of the month ( sort of)--------------

If it is the sort of beginning of the month ( nearly) it must be the April BQL Calendar Challenge time!
This is April's theme------Handbags! My colour choice is, as always, what I see in the garden----blue for Forgetmenots, pink for blossom and tulips, and Blue/pink for our Pulmonaria.

I have also in the last few weeks embarked on a King size ( UK King size!!) Baltimore Album Quilt that I came across as a Block of the Month on
http://www.fatcatpatterns.com/baltimore_bliss.htm

I have chosen colours to go with our guest bedroom decor which is pale blue/lemon /cream. I have completed the first Block and am about to start on Block 2. I do find hand applique very calming and do it by needle turning, as the blocks are quite big at 16" so it goes quite quickly!
I will post photos when I have finished block 2.

The garden is coming slowly into life which is lovely and I will soon need to get some veggie seeds on the go as well as the dahlias.
