I feel I may now have entered the 21st century and have set up a blog!
I will try to write regularily and enter my thoughts and doings particularly in my quilting life.
Today there has been some frisson in the village as a dam between here and the next village, Kilbirnie, is threatening to burst and several homes and farms are on alert, we wondered why the police helicopter was hovering around the area last evening. Hopefully all will be well a long as no more rain falls, we had an inch and a half falling on Friday night which seems to be the cause of the problem.
The rose above is from the garden and I hope to use this image to try a quilt using a new book I have just purchased called Altered Photo Artistry by Beth Wheeler. Fabulous book with lots of new ideas to try.

Had to also mention that I had a look at where you live..and interesting enough it is just up the road from where my grandmother and great-grandparents lived before they moved to Canada. (Kilwinning and Irvine)..Funny enough it was just yesterday I started to do a little digging, but so far no luck...I need my mom to come up with some dates and names first.
Anyway, just thought I'd say hi...
