Will it ever stop-------------???

Will it ever stop raining? Yesterday was a complete wash-out and today seems to be gearing up to be the same. They have closed the road again in case the dam breaks even after pumping hundreds of gallons out on Monday.

Yesterday we had a trip up to Glasgow so I could go to John Lewis and Mandors ( our local fabric store) to get various fabrics and things for (a) August's BQL Bag challenge and (b) further supplies for a Quilt University Course I have signed up for starting later this month called "Waves and Waterfalls" . I would be interested if anyone else who reads this blog is going to do it?

Yesterday afternoon I sewed on the binding for our second banner for the Church bi-centenery. It will finally be sewn down on the back when all the others get back from various holidays at the begining of September, then we will have some practise hangings before the dedication service at the start of October. This project has taken over my life for over 18 months and although I have thoroughly enjoyed doing it and guiding the other ladies in the Group I will be glad to get back to doing all the other quilting projects I have in mind.
