The first lesson in the waves and waterfalls class on Quilt University was posted today and I have made a start! This looks as if it is going to be fun and stretching my comfort zone somewhat.
I am not convinced I really have all the supplies necessary so did a bit of web surfing and have added to what I have, it is sometimes difficult to get thingsin the UK that seem only to be available across the pond.
Starting off with a photograph of a wave I made a tracing of the various elements and copied and increased by 200% and now have it marked out on pdf fabric. I have started to line it out with puffy paint which now has to dry overnight before I can puff it with a heat gun. I am looking forward to seeing what happens with it tomorrow!

Ihave been reading with envy others blogs on their visit to the Festival of Quilts in Birmingham. I have only been once but would love to go again----maybe next year!
